These small samples—each no larger than 30cm —are a way for me to experiment with traditional rug-making techniques by hand. They allow me to test the effect of different yarns, explore surface textures, and trial the handmade potential of what is often a commercial, machine-made product. These samples are part of an ongoing investigation into process, materiality, and the value of slow, intentional making.
